On October 2, 2025 the management board of PGTE “Henry Ford,” represented by Director Eng. Panayotov and Deputy Directors Eng. Milanov and Dr. Mladenova, participated with the Swiss Embassy and the Ministry of Education and Science in the official launch of the DOMINO 2 Program – Establishing Dual Vocational Education and Training (DVET) in Bulgaria, in the presence of Minister Valchev and H.E. Pierre Hagmann.
With a Swiss contribution of CHF 5 million, DOMINO 2 (2025–2029) aims to promote economic growth and reduce youth unemployment by applying the principles of dual education in vocational schools. The program continues Switzerland’s support for the modernization of the dual system in Bulgaria, with a strong focus on sustainable capacity in the public and private sectors.
Building on the success of DOMINO 1, in which PGTE “Henry Ford” was a pilot participant, the new program strengthens Swiss-Bulgarian cooperation while helping students acquire practical skills and employers find qualified workers.
The participation of PGTE “Henry Ford” in the panel discussion on dual education was impressive. Ms. Mina Ivanova, representative of Auto Bavaria Ltd. and a graduate of our school in dual training, shared her experience of the high quality of the training she received and the great opportunities for academic and professional realization in the field of automotive mechatronics.
